Apologies or being so late in communication. It’s been a busy winter.
As you may know, my wife, Heather, is a brilliant ceramics artist. Over the years, watching her struggle and grow with the challenges of her work gave me a few ideas for a short book.
I’m pleased to announce the forthcoming release of THE CRACKED POTTER!
"The book tells the story of Nava Ortlieb, who moves to The Village and establishes her pottery business. She runs afoul of and then becomes friends with Shoshana Cantor, the merchant's wife. It is a lovely and warm story inspired by the author's experience as a pottery widower." – Ceramics Now
This is a signed and numbered limited edition book, NOT available on Amazon.

Digging In (a brief teaser)
Even before the fire that burned down her shed, most of the villagers in Chelm already thought their newest citizen was a bit odd.
One sunny day just after the last snows had melted, Nava Ortlieb drove her donkey cart out of the Black Forest, did a single lap around the round village square, and set up a small camp along the bank of the Uherka River.
Chelm is a small village, so news spread quickly.
This newcomer hadn’t stopped to introduce herself or schmooze; she hadn’t asked permission. She’d simply pitched a tent, and then she started digging in the mud.
